Kalki 2898 AD brought big success for Prabhas, earning huge collections worldwide. With stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan the film was a hit in all languages.
Director Nag Ashwin announced a sequel, as the story couldn’t be completed in one part. The sequel was supposed to start this year, but it’s been delayed because Prabhas is already committed to other films.
Nag Ashwin has managed to get dates from Amitabh, Kamal, and Deepika, but Prabhas hasn’t confirmed his schedule yet.
He is currently busy with Raja Saab, Fauji, and Spirit, and will only be available after finishing these. Due to this, the sequel is on hold for now.
Nag Ashwin has started working on two other scripts and plans to begin the Kalki 2898 AD sequel only after Prabhas gives him enough dates in advance. Once that happens, he will re-align the other actors schedules accordingly.
