Will Dil Raju Respond to the Telugu Producer Council?

The Telugu producer council issued a press note this afternoon stating that only Telugu straight films should be given preference during big festivals like Sankranti and Dussehra. The committee also mentioned that a resolution was passed regarding the same issue in 2019 itself. Even the press note reminded that producer Dil Raju himself said yes to the above resolution.

This sudden statement from the Telugu producer council came because they fear the dubbing movie, Varisu/ Vaarasudu might impact direct Telugu movies which are scheduled for a release during the Sankranthi season. Already reports from trade circles are coming in that Dil Raju is blocking maximum screens across twin Telugu states. Reportedly, Dil Raju is holding maximum screens in his strong areas like Nizam, Vizag and Kurnool for Vaarasudu despite having two other big films like Veera Simha Reddy and Walter Veeraiha in the competition.

Now, the question is will Dil Raju’s camp response to the statement released by the Telugu producer council, remains to be seen. Even during the 2021 Sankranthi times, Dil Raju faced a similar kind of problem from the Nizam ‘Krack’ distributor Warangal Sreenu as the renewed producer blocked maximum screens in Nizam from Vijay starrer Master. Already a section of the trade and producers guild is breathing fire on Dil Raju for his greedy attitude.
