Why Sing Geetham Was DSP’s Biggest Challenge

For music director Devi Sri Prasad (DSP), Sing Geetham was one of the most unique projects of his career.

Directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao and produced by Nag Ashwin the film releases on June 11th. DSP said the biggest challenge was that every dialogue in the movie had to be presented as a song.

Even a small change in a line required changes to the entire musical composition. Unlike regular films, all the music was completed before shooting started allowing actors to perform according to the tunes.

DSP said his childhood habit of turning words into melodies helped him handle the project.

He described Sing Geetham as an emotional story and praised Singeetham’s creativity calling the opportunity to work on the film a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
