Why did Zeenat Aman burst into tears during shoot with Shashi Kapoor?

In her most recent post, Zeenat Aman shared a stunning photograph of the late Shashi Kapoor during a song session for the movie Satyam Shivam Sundaram. It was a “psychedelic trip,” as she recalls.

Zeenat Aman, a seasoned actress, is one of the most gifted and endearing actors our business has ever seen. She brought charm to Hindi movies, particularly throughout the 1990s. She has starred in a number of legendary films over her extensive résumé, including Don, Dharam Veer, Qurbani, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, and many others. One of these films, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, has a cult following. The film’s melodramatic, naive plot and tunes were highly popular and still rule everyone’s hearts today. Zeenat, the epitome of elegance, has been fairly active recently on social media, where she frequently shares priceless memories from the past. The seasoned actress recently shared a still with Shashi in a post based on the song Chanchal Sheetal Nirmal Komal from the 1978 film Satyam Shivam Sundaram

On September 12, Zeenat Aman posted a stunning photo of herself with the late, great Shashi Kapoor to her Instagram account. The image is a still from the fantasy song sequence Chanchal Sheetal Nirmal Komal from Raj Kapoor’s smash hit movie Satyam Shivam Sundaram. Shashi Kapoor is wearing all-black, while Zeenat looked stunning in a crimson dress that was accessorised with vintage jewellery.

She explained the background of the song in the caption, writing, “This dream song sequence from Satyam Shivam Sundaram went the whole nine yards. Giant mushrooms, pink clouds, roaring smoke, enormous flowers, sexy clothes, unearthly accessories. I’d go as far as to call it something of a psychedelic journey!”

She further writes, “Few people know of the drama that went on behind the scenes though. My director Rajji was an aesthete to the core and was known for working with some of the most beautiful performers from the south – the likes of Vyjayanthimala and Padmini. He also had a taste for classical dance, and had conceptualized this entire song with that in mind”.

The Don actress recalls feeling a little uneasy at the beginning of the song, “But this was my first picture under the RK brand, and I was by no means a classical dancer. I sobbed uncontrollably when Rajji described the scene to me. I was sure I would seem foolish and ruin the whole movie. I described my situation to him via hiccups and cries. Rajji grinned. He questioned, “What will I do with you convent girls and your two left feet?”

He obviously took action. He told renowned dancer Sohanlal to teach me mudras alone, not any challenging choreography. Bhanu Athaiya, a brilliant costume designer, simultaneously developed a variety of outstanding clothes, while A. Rangaraj, the art director, erected a gorgeous set. The SSS team therefore produced a wonderland.

She ended the email by encouraging her followers and fans to view the YouTube video. She referred to it as a “visual delight” and said she was interested in the users’ opinions.

The graceful actress shared the article, and it quickly gained a lot of attention on social media. Bengali actress Ritabhari Chakraborty gushed about the timeless beauty, calling her “the OG-that changed so much (a red heart emoji)” while Tannaz Irani referred to her as “Apsara, my lady,” writing, “Omg Apsara, my lady”
