When a talk show host persisted in bringing up her brother’s coma, Juhi Chawla once broke down in tears on live television.
In interviews, we frequently witness actors responding to a series of absurd questions, but there have also been instances where journalists have gone overboard and put the interviewee in risky situations. When Juhi Chawla was summoned to a television show and questioned about her brother Bobby’s health, a similar incident occurred. As a replay of the discussion in which Juhi asked him to skip the question because she was crying has appeared on Reddit, netizens are criticizing the host for being inconsiderate.
Bobby Chawla, Juhi’s brother, had a severe stroke in 2010 that put him in a coma. Bobby, who had lived for four years, passed away in 2014 at the age of 55.
Juhi Chawla was questioned regarding her brother Bobby Chawla, who was at the time unconscious. Juhi responded, “Yeh aap kaha chale gaye,” and he continued, “It is a very unfortunate thing.” Juhi fought back her tears while responding, “Yes, it is,” before begging the host to omit the question. He persisted in asking her how she deals with her brother on a daily basis though.
The host tried to give the actress optimism rather than changing the question or offering her a tissue. Juhi Chawla attempted to respond to the query by stating, ““ What should I say about what happened with me? My world was shaken.”
Juhi made an effort before blaming herself, admitting that she might not have taken the necessary action and mentioning how she doesn’t frequently see her brother in the hospital. mentioning the date of the interview, which was Raksha Bandhan, “Aaj bhi Rakhi baandh kar aayi hu. Magar dil toot jaata hai.” She further requested the host to stop asking her questions about her sibling.
A user wrote, “This is why celebs control their interviews so much and are so guarded. Like wtf is this?” while another penned, “This is horrible. These reporters have no empathy or what?”
A third user wrote, “Juhi was having a breakdown and he was still pushing the question with a smirk.”
“OMG I would’ve gotten up and walked out. What the actual F is this. She’s clearly unable to even compose herself enough to talk. Why would you press on? Just why,” commented a fourth one.
