Star heroine Samantha’s much-awaited sci-fi thriller, Yasodha, under the direction of young director duo Hari-Harish is gearing up for a November 11th release. Co-starring Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in a key role, the theatrical trailer of Yasodha which was out a few weeks back has been receiving a positive response from the audience.
But as an unexpected scenario, Samantha a few days back revealed that she has been diagnosed with Myositis, a rare auto-immune disease. Currently, she is taking treatment for the same and is not in a condition to participate in the film shootings. Meanwhile, a couple of days back news came out that Samantha’s co-star and happening hero Vijay Deverakonda will be gracing the pre-release event of Yasodha.
Now, the latest buzz circulating among the media circles is that considering the health condition of Samantha, the makers of Yasodha have decided to skip the film’s pre-release event. Reports suggest that even Samantha is not in a condition to give video interviews to the media. If the above news turns into reality, as Samantha is on rest mood, the entire promotional activities of Yasodha are now on Varalakshmi Sarathkumar’s shoulders. Yasodha also stars Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan in a key role.
Bankrolled by senior producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, Yasodha has its music composed by Mani Sharma. Along with Telugu, the film will have a simultaneous release in other South languages.
