Vijay Devarakonda Confirms Kingdom Sequel And Prequel Plans

Vijay Devarakonda’s Kingdom released two days ago and received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences.

While opinions about the story have varied, the film has done well at the box office and is expected to break even soon, making it a safe project for most buyers.

At a media event in Hyderabad, Vijay revealed that Kingdom was always planned as a multi-part story. He confirmed that Kingdom Part 2 is on the way as a direct sequel, and Part 3 will be a prequel set in the 1920s, exploring the past of key characters and the world introduced in the first part.

Vijay also shared that the team had thought of naming the film Devara Nayaka, but dropped it after Jr. NTR’s Devara was announced, to avoid confusion.

Directed by Gowtm Tinnanuri and produced by Naga Vamsi, Kingdom tells the story of Suri, a troubled constable who uncovers a hidden legacy while on a secret mission.
