Vijay Devarakonda Clarifies Stand In ED Investigation

Several Tollywood celebrities, including actors and influencers, have come under the radar of the ED for promoting betting apps.

The ED has issued notices, summoning them for questioning as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal app promotions.

Actor Vijay Devarakonda appeared before the ED today. After the inquiry he clarified that he had no role in any illegal activity.

“Gaming apps and illegal betting apps are different. The apps I endorsed were legal and government-licensed. I was not involved in anything unlawful,” he stated.

An FIR was filed in March this year against 25 celebrities in Hyderabad. While a few have already attended the questioning, others are expected to appear soon.

The list of those served notices includes Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Manchu Lakshmi, Pranitha, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Vijay Devarakonda, among others, as the probe continues.
