Vidya Balan Makes New Tamil Film Announcement

Vidya Balan is set to reunite with filmmaker R. Balki for a new Tamil film nearly 17 years after their last collaboration.

The actress shared the news on Insta by posting her first look from the sets.

She was seen holding the film’s script and sporting glasses with a long braid. However, the title, story and details about her character are still kept secret.

This marks Vidya and Balki’s reunion after Paa, which released in 2009. The actress is also making her Tamil debut with Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer 2 starring Rajinikanth.

Apart from her Tamil projects, Vidya is part of Anees Bazmee’s upcoming comedy with Akshay Kumar and Raashii Khanna which scheduled for release on December 4th 2026.
