Vicky Kaushal, who previously gave us the smash blockbuster “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,” spoke on the return of the content-driven movie.
Vicky Kaushal, a superstar in Bollywood who previously gave us the smash hit “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,” is preparing for yet another theatrical release. For Vicky, it will be a content-driven family entertainment this time as well.
He will play the role of Bhajan Kumar, a sensational singer of devotional music who earns a living by performing Lord Krishna songs at various gatherings, in the movie “The Great Indian Family.”
Vicky Kaushal told the media at the film’s song launch that content-driven films are back at the top following a protracted slump brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Vicky Kaushal told the media at the film’s song launch that content-driven films are back at the top following a protracted slump brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The actor said: “Agar koi 3 mahine pehle ye kehta ki ‘content-driven films are not working at the box-office’, toh main maan bhi leta (If three months back someone told me that content-driven films are not working at the box-office, I would have still believed them). But now, things have changed. The trend about content-driven films not working at the box-office has changed for good.”
Vicky Kaushal continued by citing recent instances of films that are both content-driven and financially successful: ‘Look at ‘Dream Girl 2’, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, ‘OMG 2’ and ‘Ghoomer’; these are all films that have strong content and are bringing audiences back into theatres. I’m hoping that “The Great Indian Family,” our movie, will also charm viewers and find favour with them.
Manushi Chillar, a former Miss World, Kumud Mishra, and Manoj Pahwa are also featured in the Yash Raj Films and Vijay Krishna Acharya-produced film “The Great Indian Family.” On September 22, the movie will make its theatre debut.
