Vetrimaaran Gives An Update On Suriya’s ‘Vaadivaasal’

Vaadivaasal, directed by Vetrimaaran and starring Suriya was announced a few years ago but hasn’t started filming yet. Fans have been eagerly waiting for updates and now the director has finally shared some details.

At the trailer launch of Kingston, Vetrimaaran confirmed that Vaadivaasal is in the pre-production stage. He revealed that shooting will begin in May or June this year bringing excitement to Suriya’s fans.

Music composer GV Prakash had earlier confirmed that work on the film’s soundtrack is already underway. Given his successful collaborations with Vetri Maaran in Asuran and Aadukalam, expectations are high for the film’s music.

Vaadivaasal is based on a novel by CS Chellappa and revolves around Jallikattu the traditional bull-taming sport of Tamil Nadu.

Suriya is currently filming Suriya 45 with RJ Balaji. Once he finishes this project he will fully focus on Vaadivaasal, making it one of the most anticipated films in Kollywood.
