Director Venky Atluri, who impressed audiences with Sir and Lucky Baskhar, is now set to team up with star actor Suriya for a new film.
Suriya was so impressed after watching Lucky Baskhar that he immediately agreed to work with Venky. The film is planned to begin shooting in June, and the official announcement has already been made.
It will be made on a grand scale with a massive budget of Rs. 120 crores. Suriya who will play the lead role, is reportedly being paid Rs. 50 crores.
Although Suriya hasn’t delivered a solid box office hit in recent years, he remains one of Indian cinema’s most respected actors.
He has also been eager to do a straight Telugu film for a long time, making this collaboration special. The movie will be produced by Sithara Entertainments, with music by GV Prakash Kumar. The team is currently working on finalizing the cast and crew.
