Venkatesh’s film Sankranthiki Vasthunnam hit theaters yesterday and received a great response. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film has been getting positive buzz both before and after its release.
In a recent interview Venky Mama spoke about the failure of his previous movie Saindhav which he worked on with young director Sailesh Kolanu.
The film, released during last year’s Sankranthi, didn’t meet fan’s expectations and ended up as a flop.
Venkatesh shared his thoughts on what went wrong with Saindhav. He said, “It shouldn’t have been released during the festive season. We tried to create a unique world but couldn’t achieve what we imagined. My character’s inability to save his daughter may have also disappointed the audience”.
Despite the film’s failure, Venkatesh said he enjoyed working with Sailesh Kolanu.
