Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, Nara Rohit, and Manchu Manoj made a comeback with Bhairavam, a remake of the Tamil film Garudan.
Released on Friday, the movie received a decent response, but its opening was slow due to the re-release of Mahesh Babu’s Khaleja, which dominated theatres.
Mahesh fans celebrated Khaleja in a big way, impacting Bhairavam’s first-day numbers. The film picked up slightly in the evening shows, though IPL playoffs also affected audience turnout.
Additionally, several major OTT releases drew viewers online, limiting theatre audiences. Saturday collections were better, but for the film to recover its costs, strong performance on Sunday and weekdays is crucial.
However, the IPL final on Tuesday and Kamal Haasan’s much-awaited Thug Life releasing on Thursday pose more challenges. Bhairavam, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala and produced by KK Radha Mohan.
