That time when Rajamouli missed directing Salman!

Rajamouli established himself as one of the most successful directors in the country, with films like Eega, and the Baahubali franchise, the latter of which created new records in the Indian Film Industry.

Rajamouli is currently busy with RRR, which has NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles, where NTR will be seen playing Komaram Bheem and Ram Charan will be seen playing Alluri Sitaramaraju. Speaking to the media recently, Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad, who wrote the stories for all of Rajamouli’s films, revealed that Rajamouli said no to directing Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Vijayendra Prasad said that the time he narrated the story to Rajamouli was wrong, as the director was busy shooting for Baahubali’s war sequences. Subsequently, the script of Bajrangi Bhaijaan went to Kabir Khan and the rest is history. It would have been highly interesting to see how Rajamouli’s take on the film would have been, and Rajamouli directing Salman Bhai. On the other hand, Vijayendra Prasad said that the sequel for Bajrangi Bhaijaan is in the making and that Salman even gave his nod for the project.
