That Samantha film isn’t shelved

Samantha Akkineni decided to act with Nayantara for the first time in her career. She earlier co-starred with Kajal Aggarwal in several films but never did a film with Nayantara. Hence, Vignesh Shivn decided to make the film in his own production with his beau Nayantara and best friend, Vijay Sethupathi, as other leads. Several rumours have come out that the film has been shelved as lockdown made it hard for the filmmakers to find financiers for it.

But the team clarified that the film is going to go on sets from August or September. The team is keen on wrapping up the film in less number of shooting days in a tight schedules, say sources. Samantha along with this film will be seen in Family Man Season 2 on Amazon Prime Video and has two more films in Tamil at various stages of production. Post lockdown, she will announce her Telugu projects too.
