Nithin has been going through a rough phase with four consecutive flops, and his recent film Robinhood, made on a massive budget, was a major disappointment for Mythri Movie Makers.
His next film, Thammudu is an action drama directed by Sriram Venu and produced by Dil Raju. During promotions, Dil Raju revealed that the script was finalized three years ago but the shoot was delayed due to several reasons.
He also mentioned that Thammudu was shot over 150 working days and around Rs. 35 crores were spent just on production. The total budget of the film is Rs. 75 crores, making it a big gamble for the team.
The trailer was well-received giving hope for a successful run. The film is set to hit theatres on July 4th. While Nithin’s recent track record is a concern, Dil Raju is confident about the film’s success.
Netflix has acquired the digital rights.
