Suriya Gives Green Signal For First Malayalam Film

Suriya has faced a few big flops recently but his craze among fans remains very high. The star is now making his much-awaited Tollywood debut with a film directed by Venky Atluri which is currently being shot and is scheduled for release in May 2026.

Meanwhile another exciting update is that Suriya is set to step into Malayalam cinema for the first time.

Jithu Madhavan narrated a powerful script to Suriya some time ago and after the final round of discussions, Suriya has given his approval.

The project will be made in both Malayalam and Tamil at the same time. Kalaipuli S. Thanu will produce the film under V Creations, along with Suriya’s own banner 2D Entertainment.

The official announcement is expected to come out on Dasara this year. On the other hand, Suriya has completed shooting Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji, which is set for Diwali 2025 release.
