Sunil Varma reached to heights of stardom and popularity as a comedian in Telugu Cinema. He started off with a bit role in Nuvve Kavali but with Nuvvu Nenu, Masantha Nuvve, he became a big comedian. After the success, he went on to successfully make people laugh out loud in many hit films. There was a time when he used to be the first choice in any film.
He transformed into a hero with his ever rising popularity reaching it’s peak. He got a huge boost with SS Rajamouli’s Maryadaramanna and sticked to lead actor roles. In recent years, his films flopped big time so much that the producers did not want to take a chance with him as a solo lead anymore.
So, he is back to doing comic roles and accepted two hero film, Silly fellows with Allari Naresh. Post that film, he has been transforming again into a comedian. He accepted a cameo in Amar Akbar Anthony and there is a buzz that he could appear in a bit role in Jr. NTR’s Aravinda Sametha and now, he accepted a special character in Sai Dharam Tej’s next, Chitralahari Bar and Restaurant. Seems like he is no longer investing his time in being a lead hero on screen.
