The filming of Karthi‘s new movie, Sardar 2, started recently after a traditional ceremony. They were shooting an intense action scene when tragedy struck the film’s stuntman Ezhumalai had a fatal accident on set.
He lost control and fell from a height of 20 meters, resulting in his passing. The incident occurred at Prasad Studios in Saligramam Chennai. The team were notified and an investigation is underway.
Ezhumalai sustained serious injuries leading to internal bleeding which caused to his death. Filming was paused immediately after the accident.
PS Mithran is directing Sardar 2, starring Karthi and Ashika Ranganath in the lead roles. The movie is produced by Prince Pictures, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
It’s planned on a large scale, with extensive sets constructed in Chennai for the production.
