Star Hero’s 150 Crore Demand, Like Prabhas?

Prabhas is currently one of the highest-paid actors, reportedly earning 150 crores for his upcoming movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘ and demanding the same for his next film, ‘Spirit.’ Following him is Thalapathy Vijay, who commands around 120 crores per movie, while other actors typically charge between 80 to 120 crores.

In an interesting turn, Rocking Star Yash, known for his role in ‘KGF,’ is also demanding 150 crores for his next project, where he will play the villain in the Bollywood film ‘Ramayan,’ portraying Ravanasura. This move marks a significant shift as Yash would become the first Kannada actor to command such a high fee in India. Despite playing the antagonist, Yash’s demand underscores his growing market in the South.

In ‘Ramayan,’ Yash will appear alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Sri Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, with Ranbir reportedly charging less than Yash for the biggest film. The casting of Yash and Sai Pallavi is likely to increase the film’s range in national wide, especially in South Indian industry box office, where both actors are extremely popular.

The great ‘Ramayan’ is expected to be released in more than four languages, using the star power of Yash and Sai Pallavi to attract a larger audience. It remains to be seen whether Yash’s demand sets a new standard for Kannada actors’ pay, but his negotiations reflect the changing dynamics and growing importance of regional stars in India’s film business.
