For weeks there was buzz that Nithiin would join hands with director Srinu Vaitla for a film under Mythri Movie Makers.
The project was planned on a profit-sharing model and both Nithiin and his father Sudhakar Reddy reportedly liked the script and supported it.
But later, Nithiin is said to have demanded a big remuneration, which went against the agreed structure. Mythri Movie Makers did not agree to change their plan, leading to a fallout. Nithiin then walked out of the project.
Meanwhile, a media narrative suggested that Nithiin opted out due to negative buzz around Srinu Vaitla but insiders say this is untrue.
The film is still happening, with Mythri Movie Makers backing it strongly. Srinu Vaitla’s team is now looking for a new lead, and an announcement is expected after Dasara.
