After waiting for 10 years, Jiah Khan’s family finally got their day! The actress committed suicide in June 2013, shocking the entire country. The Nisahbd actress was discovered dead in her Juhu, Mumbai, flat on June 3. However, a six-page letter that detailed Sooraj Pancholi’s arrest for “abetment to suicide” was later found in the late actress’ home. Later, the media received access to the letter. The Mumbai court finally revealed the judgement after a 10-year wait.
The cause of death was listed as hanging in the postmortem report, despite the fact that Jiah’s mother, Rabiya Khan, labelled it a murder. In order to take over the investigation from Mumbai police, who once more ruled out murder in 2016, Rabiya later sought CBI. Aditya Pancholi sued Rabiya for slander in 2014, suing her for Rs 100 crore.
