Somy Ali has been attempting to raise awareness of the abuse she experienced at the hands of a celebrity by using the hashtag “Salman Khan”
Somy Ali, who has long been recognised as one of the ladies Salman Khan dated, is back with a new account of what transpired to her when she was a member of the Bollywood industry. Somy Ali completed a few tasks before leaving the field to relocate abroad. She has been active on social media for the previous few years and has subsequently posted enigmatic messages about the struggles she had in those times.
She exposed how a powerful celebrity who has the power to build or shatter careers mistreated her. One of the main causes of her friends’ lack of support during the claimed assault was due to this. But Somy omits to say who the star was.
Somy Ali has purposefully chosen a few hashtags after her outpouring, including Salman Khan, Subhash Ghai, and Harvey Weinstein. She even included the hashtags #mytruth and #iwontstoptellingmytruth because the truth always comes out. But this isn’t the first time she’s expressed her anxiety. The former model and actress says she has been requested to remove her posts on several occasions.
Somy’s post read, “I will be told to take down posts. I will be questioned about my sanity. I will be gossiped about having a drinking problem (the irony) yet i will go on because you have not gone through all that humiliation, & every form of torture and abuse while no one sided with you because your abuser’s a huge star and you are friends with him. He can make or break your career. You believed your friends and assumed would take a stand for you and knew everything because you literally told them and they witnessed it many a times.”
She further stated, “Might I add a very good human being stated that this abuser is a very “pyara insaan” remember I. am quoting an actor whom I have the utmost respect for, but I also know why he’s in a bind. Point in case here, you will never shut me up and this too will have an ending, a horror movie with a vey happy ending. And before you troll pitiful souls start shooting your profanities my way, just no that I do not read them and don’t have time for it. You did not have lo live my life. You were not behind those closed doors and you have the audacity to claim to know my life, my incidents and all that I endured. What I experienced, be it good or bad, you don’t know it.”
In a follow-up statement, Somy Ali called out the trolls who had been criticising her for finally stating the truth after all these years, saying, “You are just speculating and being harsh to a human person who has done nothing to you. Please consider this for many other people who are being bullied online, not just for me. Please let’s put a stop to this. It needs to end. “#cowardiceorcourage #donygiveuponyourdreams #truthalwayscomesout #somyali #salmankhan #cosby #subhahghai #jiahkhan #iwillnotstoprltellingmytruth #harveyweinstein #cosby #subhahghai #jiahkhan”
Somy uploaded a number of images along with the post, and her friends as well as some other users of social media have commented in support.
