Sita Ramam taking a huge risk

Dulquer Salmaan’s second straight film, Sita Ramam, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is all set to be released on August 5th. The film features Mrunal Thakur as the leading lady, who will be making her Telugu debut with the film. The film is produced under Vyjayanthi Banners and is carrying a very good buzz around it.

The runtime of the film was revealed today, to be 2 hours 43 minutes. Given that any film with a long runtime is not working very well at the box office these days, even by the standards prevalent these days, 2hrs 43min seems to be a huge risk for the film. The same mistake took place with Nani’s Ante Sundaraniki, which was 3 hours long. The makers thought that the film’s content would keep the audience engaged, but the film failed to do so.

With Sita Ramam belonging to the same genre, a romantic drama, it is to be seen whether this film would be able to keep the audience engaged with its runtime, which, while not being really long, is not short either.
