Simbu, Ranjith Step Up For Stunt Master’s Family

Vettuvam is an upcoming film directed by Pa. Ranjith starring Arya and Gethu Dinesh. The team had been shooting in Nagapattinam district villages like Venmani and Vidhiambadi.

On July 13th a tragic accident occurred during a stunt shoot in Vidhiambadi, where stunt master S. Mohanraj who was driving a car for the scene, lost his life.

This shocking incident raised serious concerns about safety measures in film sets. A viral video of the accident led the police to register a negligence case against four people, including director Pa. Ranjith.

Arya and Ranjith attended Mohanraj’s funeral, and the team later stated that safety plans were in place despite the tragedy. Silambarasan extended support by donating Rs. 1 lakh to the family.

Director Ranjith followed with Rs. 20 lakhs in financial aid. Their kind gestures were widely appreciated, sparking conversations on the need for better safety and care for stunt workers in the film industry.
