Silk Smitha Queen Of The South: A Tribute To The Iconic Star

Silk Smitha, the star of South Indian cinema was a sensation in the 1980s captivating audiences for years. Her dramatic rise to fame and untimely death inspired many people in the industry.

The most famous film based on her life was “The Dirty Picture”, starring Vidya Balan.

Now, an official biopic titled “Silk Smitha – Queen of the South” has been announced by STRI Cinemas on her birth anniversary. The film will showcase the fascinating story of her life, with Chandrika Ravi playing the lead role.

Directed by Jayaram Sankaran and produced by SB Vijay Amirtharaj and the movie is set to begin shooting in early 2025.
