In honor of the film’s eighth anniversary, actress Shefali Shah provided the BTS information regarding the cake sequence.
Celebrating the eighth anniversary of her movie “Dil Dhadakne Do,” actress Shefali Shah said that she invented the logistics of the famous cake scene, in which her heroine feeds on a piece of cake to combat her character’s negative mood.
Shefali explained the scene and mentioned how many people could relate to it, saying: “It is such a poignant moment. So many people have approached me and admitted to doing it. Since we were scheduled to shoot it the following day, I was phoned the day before and asked what I would like to eat.
In the Zoya Akhtar-directed film Dil Dhadakne Do, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, and Anushka Sharma also starred.
The central focus of the movie is a dysfunctional family. It depicts the tale of Kamal, portrayed by Anil, and Neelam, portrayed by Shefali Shah, who invite their loved ones on a cruise to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary. They do, however, pick up a lot of life lessons along the way.
Shefali Shah said, “They gave me baklava as an option since we were in Turkey when we were filming that scene,” during a recent appearance on Kareena Kapoor’s chat program. I insisted on chocolate syrup because I wanted it to be sloppy and I didn’t want to choke on a dry cake, not because I liked the flavor of it.
Shefali Shah had a fantastic 2022, earning credits for films like “Human,” “Darlings,” “Jalsa,” “Doctor G,” and “Delhi Crime 2,” but she is currently preparing for the eagerly awaited third season of her International Emmy Award-winning show “Delhi Crime.”
