Director Shankar Shanmugh revolutionized Indian Commercial Cinema with his brand of hard-hitting subjects and he even introduced VFX, on Indian Cinema Screen. He is the first man to work with animatronics on a huge scale in Indian Cinema. He is the only director to shoot a song at all Seven recognised wonders of the World. He is also the first man to show that universal content is the way to go forward for different filmmakers to achieve their big goals and dreams.
If Rajamouli could come up with big budget films and improve the market of Telugu Cinema, then the credit in him doing so, should be going to Shankar for starting the process. He carried on with the innovative plotlines that Singeetham Srinivasa Rao brought to mainstream cinema, on the grand scale. As the director is celebrating his 57th birthday on 17th August, the fans of the director wish to see him give a big blockbuster with Indian 2. His I and 2.0, did not get rave reviews or become such big hits that we normally associate with him.
They want him to go back to the form that he showed in his peak days with films like Indian, Mudhalvan, Anniyan, Gentleman, Jeans. There want to watch Indian-2, his next on big screens and incidentally, Indian with Kamal Hassan, made him a star director, too. We wish the man behind brave dreams of many new filmmakers, Shankar, a very happy birthday.
