Mickey J. Meyer is one the busiest and most sought after music directors in the Telugu film industry these days. His latest films, Shatamanam Bhavati, A..Aa turned to be musical hits and many directors are looking to rope him as the music composer for their films. He did have his share of disappointments earlier but the talented musician is determined to do well with each and every opportunity he is given, henceforth.
Writer-director of Savitri biopic, Mahanati, Naga Ashwin, decided to bring in the composer as he knew that Mickey can bring in the much needed flavour of music required for the movie that particularly happens during the time period of 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. Even the composer shared his excitement stating that he grew up on a staple diet of old songs and he understands the sound during the time. He said the music will reflect tunes from the time and there could be few songs he need to recreate for the movie.
The composer still in the earlier stages of composing for the movie, has already recorded two songs. Mickey shared that he likes to get the important title track out of his way before he take up composing any other song for the movie has it helps in setting a tone and also relieves him from pressure to compose for such an important situation. The composer is also confident about the movie being a success as he said he knew Naga Ashwin from his assistant days, working with director like Shekar Kammula.
