Save The Tigers was a big hit on Hotstar. Seeing the response, the makers are ready with the second season of the show which has been created by Mahi V Raghav. Let’s review the comedy caper here.

Save The Tigers 2 Story: The series kicks off with cops grilling Vikram(Krishna Chaitanya), Rahul(Abhinav Gomatam), and Ganta Ravi(Priyadarshi) about Hamsaleka’s disappearance. The trio sticks to their story, insisting Hamsaleka was at a party and they’re innocent. Surprisingly, the cops buy it and let them go. But what happens next? On the other hand, their wives seek help from Spandana, a counselor. The local MLA dangles a tempting offer of a corporate ticket to Ravi. Will he splurge on a swanky house in a gated community for his wife? Vikram’s wife, Rekha, wants to ditch her law studies. Harika, a mysterious figure, shakes things up between Rahul and Madhuri. And as tensions rise, the three couples clash over their dilemmas. What will happen next is the story.

Performances: Priyadarshi, Abhinav Gomatam, and Chaitanya Krishna deliver standout performances, capturing the audience’s attention. Priyadarshi particularly shines, showcasing his acting prowess as he conveys emotions and shares heartfelt moments with his daughter, making his scenes a must-watch. Jordar Sujatha, Deviani Sharma, and Pavani Gangireddy immerse themselves in their characters, delivering compelling portrayals that do justice to their roles. Seerat Kapoor impresses with her portrayal of Hamsalekha, bringing depth and authenticity to the character. Darshan, Gangavva, Avinash, and Rohini further enhance the series with their cameos.

Technical Aspects: The production values of the show are good. Mahi V Raghav created this show and he added so many fun moments in the first season. But his writing takes a beating in the second and this is visible. The editing is okay but the show feels lengthy. The dialogues are okay and so was the production design. The music is below par but the BGM was good. The conflict point is not elevated well.

Analysis: The series Save The Tigers 2 highlights the dangers of relying solely on unverified news, which can easily mislead viewers. It underscores the importance of questioning the credibility of news sources, especially when innocent celebrities are involved. Showrunner Mahi V Raghav consistently delivers captivating content, and Season 2 of Save The Tigers is no exception.

Raghav skillfully blends comedy with the overarching message of the series, ensuring both entertainment and meaningful storytelling. The initial episodes are filled with uproarious moments, while the fourth episode adopts a satirical tone. But when compared to the first season, the second is less comic and no one can deny the fact.

The synergy between Mahi V Raghav’s vision and Arun Kothapalli’s direction is evident throughout the series. There are decent emotions in the show which is more about the realization of the characters played the main leads. There are no stand-out comedy moments in the film like that was a highlight in the first season.

Save The Tigers 2 has been made in such a way that there are so much of emotions. How husbands ignore their wives and how this ends up in a lot of issues has been showcased in a good way. But the one for which the show was popular in the first place is comedy, which is missing in the show and is shown in bits and pieces.

Verdict: Overall, Save The Tigers 2 is more about human emotions than comedy. All those who think the comedy will be hilarious will be disappointed as there is more focus on human emotions than comedy. If asked which season impressed me more, the answer would be undoubtedly the first one.

Bottom Line – Okay but not up to the expectations
