Sardaar Gabbar Singh has had a mammoth release with premiere shows beginning a day earlier on April 7. Distributors made hay while the sun shines and organised several shows before the earlier reviews came out and heavily cashed in on the craze the film has been garnering.
And with all that effort, the Pawan Kalyan-starrer has managed to collect a whopping $616,000 on the first day, making it the film to collect the second highest amount after Baahubali which minted gold last year.
The film has had a humongous release with shows in over 43 countries including new locations of Europe and Africa as well. It is to be seen how far the business goes especially considering the reviews are out now and most of them are proving to be negative.
