Samantha’s Shaakuntalam Release Date

Passionate filmmaker Gunasekhar’s ambitious pan-India mythological magnum opus, Shaakuntalam wrapped up its entire shooting formalities in 2021 itself. Starring Samantha in the title role, this high budget movie also features young Malayalam hero Dev Mohan as Dushyant.

A couple of months back the makers made an official announcement that the film will be out in November but later the team postponed the release due to reasons unknown. Meanwhile, the latest news is that Shaakuntalam will be out on February 17th. An official announcement regarding the same came out this afternoon. A new romantic poster in which Samantha and Dev Mohan seen as Prince and princess came out and went viral.

Gunasekhar’s daughter Neelima Guna is turning producer with this ambitious poetic romance drama. Dil Raju is presenting it. The film also has Mohan Babu, Gautami, Aditi Balan and Ananya Nagalla in supporting roles. Mani Sharma is the music composer. The film will have a pan-India release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages.
