Samantha to say goodbye to South cinema?

Heroine Samantha, who once joined the top slot in the Telugu film industry has restricted herself to female-centric and character-oriented films for the past few years. Though she did a bold role in The Family Man series, off late she has been tilting towards performance-oriented films.

Currently, Samantha has Gunasekhar’s Saakunthalam and Yashoda under Sridevi Movies banner in the pipeline in Telugu. In Tamil, Sam has a romantic entertainer in her hands that also has Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in the key roles.

Meanwhile, the latest buzz is that Samantha has decided to stop signing South movies for a while and focus on Bollywood from this year. Reportedly, Sam is already in talks for three Hindi movies and a web series Amazon Prime Video. Will Samantha really stop signing Telugu and Tamil projects and say goodbye to the South cinema? Needs to be seen.
