Samantha reveals why she said yes to ‘Oo Antava’

Actress Samantha has never been seen in a special song throughout her career so far, making Oo Antava…Oo Oo Antava from Pushpa: The Rise, her first special song. The song, and the fact that Samantha would be a part of it, was a major drawing factor for audiences and fans, some of whom went to the audience just to see Sam in the dance number.

Talking about the song in a recent media interaction, Samantha said that she was initially very sceptical about being a part of the song, as it requires a lot of hard work, as the rhythm and the steps have to be perfect. She said that she passed on the opportunity, but was then convinced by director Sukumar. Sam said that Sukumar took the example of Pooja Hegde’s special song in Rangasthalam, which convinced Sam to take up the song.

On the other hand, Samantha will be next seen in Yashoda, which is directed by Hari and Harish and bankrolled by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, who produced Telugu films such as Aditya 369 and Sammohanam. She will also be seen in the titular role of Guna Sekhar’s Shaakuntalam.
