Tiger 3, the latest installment in the renowned Tiger franchise starring Salman Khan, faced unexpected challenges on its much-anticipated release day during the festive Diwali season. Despite a promising opening day with a net collection exceeding 42Cr, the film fell short of setting record numbers on the crucial Post Diwali Day.
Industry projections had anticipated Tiger 3 to capitalize on the festive momentum, with expectations of a substantial surge on the second day, ranging between 65 to 70Cr net. Regrettably, early estimates now suggest that the film might fall below the 60Cr net mark on its second day, a disappointment for trade experts.
Comparisons with Shah Rukh Khan’s recent films like Jawan and Pathaan, which posted stronger numbers over the weekend, add to the disappointment for Salman Khan’s Tiger 3. Surprisingly, even though SRK’s films had normal weekend performances, they managed to surpass the record-setting potential of Tiger 3 on Bollywood’s significant Post Diwali Day.
Despite its star-studded cast and backing from Yash Raj Films, the movie, featuring special appearances by Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan as Kabir from WAR, failed to achieve the anticipated records. Tiger 3, touted as the most significant action film in the YRF Spy Series, boasts stunning action sequences and is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
