Actor Salman Khan’s personal assistant received a warning mail on Saturday on behalf of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s aide Goldy Bhai alias Goldy Brar, asking whether the actor had seen Bishnoi’s interview that he relayed from jail three days ago and that the goal of his life was to “kill Salman Khan”.
The Bandra police registered an FIR against gangster Bishnoi, his aide Brar, and the sender of the threat email, Rohit Garg, soon after receiving a complaint from Khan’s director friend Prashant Gunjalkar.
Jordy Patel, the actor’s personal assistant, received the threat email three days after Bishnoi threatened to kill Khan in an interview with a news channel, following which Mumbai police conducted a security audit on the actor. Salman’s father discovered a threat letter on a bench at Bandra Bandstand last June. “The cyber team is collecting details of the internet protocol (IP) address and the server to track the person who sent the threat mail,” a Bandra police officer said.
Salman’s publicist declined to comment but said the email threat had nothing to do with the earlier threat received by the actor in June 2022. According to police, the interview mentioned in the mail is the one he gave recently and was broadcast on a news channel. “Bishnoi has now issued an indirect threat to the actor via a news interview from jail. He admitted that his life’s ambition was to assassinate Salman Khan. He also described Khan as “arrogant like late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala” and said his “ego is bigger than Ravana,” according to the police officer.
