Salaar: This noted actress in talks for a key role

The shooting for Prabhas’ high voltage actioner, Salaar kick-started earlier this year with a crucial action scene in a specially erected set in the opencast coal mines in Godavarikhani, Telangana. After wrapping up the first schedule in February, the film unit planned to shot the second schedule from April but is postponed temporarily due to the ongoing pandemic circumstances.

Meanwhile, the latest buzz is that the makers are keen on roping in noted actress cum Tamil star Suriya’s wife Jyothika for a key role in the movie. Earlier, news came out that for the same role versatile actress Ramya Krishna is in consideration. However, to get clarity on Jyothika’s entry in the film, we have to wait and see for some more time.

Also starring Shruti Haasan in the female lead, Salaar is being helmed by Prashant Neel. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films banner, Salaar is scheduled for an April 14, 2022 release. KGF fame Ravi Basrur is the film’s music composer.
