Today, I watched a person trying to burn up his own beautiful house with matches, that he himself designed and made out of love for his work with passion. In the beginning, this person used to give enough reason to let out a sympathetic grin for his loss of form but these days he just annoys you over and over again without fail. Well, you should also know this person and take him as an inspiration to understand where you can go wrong in life, even if you have everything under the sun at your disposal.
PLOT : A Rogue (Ishan Arya) falls in love with Anjali (Angela) but gets cheated by her for an encounter specialist. Ending up in jail for hitting police, Rogue decides to lead a single life with hatred towards women. He takes up the responsibility of a badly injured police constable’s family and forcefully, becomes their Messiah. Anjali (Mannara Chopra), sister of the constable, falls for him but she has a psycho (Thakur Anoop Singh) lover in her life. So a war for life ensues between the characters.
Performances : Ishan Arya, although has physique suitable for films, he loses on making a valid attempt in his first film selecting a director like Puri Jagannath. The actor needs to work on his dialogue delivery and expressions as well. Mannara Chopra has been reduced to show of her thighs throughout the movie. She had so much more potential to offer to a role but here her role too has nothing to demand from her. Angela needs to understand difference between posing in front of camera and acting. Thakur Anoop Singh, did his best to make sense of the character and material offered to him, but the scenes make no sense at all. All other supporting cast including Subbaraju, Thulasi, Ali, Aijaz Khan were wasted.
Technicalities : Cinematography by Mukhesh G has potentially wonderful visuals on screen but the scenes don’t add up to the beauty and one cannot notice and appreciate his hard work wholeheartedly. Editing by Junaid Siddiqui feels like a patch work job at best as he had make sense of the rushes thrown in front of him.
Music by Sunil Kashyap has great potential to win an award for being the worst album ever. His Back Ground score, needed to have some good instrumentation for making any sense to those scenes but he tries to be even more crazy and fails to create any impact.
Puri Jagannath as a writer-director fails to make any sense with his execution of an old story. Even though he could have made a decent enough film with this story, he creates a depressed version of a story that just showcases his disturbed psychosis. If he can come up with one good film after these kind of films, that will be a miracle may be.
Analysis : This film needs to be seen my upcoming filmmakers to understand how one can fall prey for their vices like taking things granted. Puri Jagannath has to look for some inspiration from some sort of material or the other to stop himself killing his legacy brick by brick. All in all, this movie can be seen only at leisure on home video when you think you should kill time.
