Regina Cassandra to debut in Bollywood!

Regina Cassandra enjoyed the heights of popularity few years ago, but all that vanished in just no-time, as her films started becoming disasters and flops at box office in both Tamil and Telugu. The actress even though has been giving good performances, in both the languages, her talent isn’t getting the opportunites that she deserves. Still, the actress is highly enthusiastic to try different things.

She has been part of films like Awe, that made a world of difference for her confidence. Now, she is debuting in Bollywood, after her much publicised fi got scrapped. She is now, going to act in an ensemble film with Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Juhi Chawla and Sonam Kapoor. The actress got a meaty role in Shelly Chopra Dhar, sister of Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who produced 3 Idiots and PK.

Shelly is debuting as director with this film and as she wanted a South Indian girl who can pull of western looks for the role, she picked up Regina. The actress had to audition before she gets the part. A source revealed to media, “The actress did not have many qualms to give an audition and once, she got selected for the role, director saw her films like Awe and appreciated her.” The actress is currently doing two films in Tamil.
