Manjummel Boys has created history at the 55th Kerala State Film Awards. The 2024 Malayalam blockbuster which also became a huge hit, dominated the awards by winning nine major honors including Best Film and Best Director.
The survival drama, directed by Chidambaram also bagged awards for Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor (Soubin Shahir), Best Art Direction (Ajayan Chalissery), Best Cinematography (Shyju Khalid), Best Sound Design (Shijin, Abhishek), Best Sound Mixing (Fazal, Shijin) and Best Lyricist (Vedan).
Kerala Minister for Fisheries, Culture and Youth Affairs Saji Cherian announced the winners today.
Apart from Manjummel Boys, Mammootty won Best Actor for Bramayugam, and Shamla Hamza was named Best Actress for Feminichi Fathima.
