Rashmika Jokes About Retirement After Iconic Role In Chhaava

Rashmika will play Yesubai Bhonsale in the historical drama Chhaava alongside Vicky Kaushal. The film trailer was launched in Mumbai attended by the cast and crew.

National Crush thanked everyone for the opportunity and joked about retiring after taking on such an important role. She said it was a big honor for a South Indian actress like her to portray Maharani Yesubai.

The trailer made her emotional and she praised Vicky’s look in the film. Rashmika shared that she was surprised to be offered the role, as she initially felt unfit to play such a powerful historical figure.

However she trusted director Laxman’s vision and gave her best to the character. “Maharani Yesubai is the most prestigious role and I’d happily retire after this,” she said.

The movie will be released on February 14th.
