Rana: I Choose Stories I Haven’t Seen Before

Dulquer Salmaan’s “Kaantha” released today, and actor–producer Rana Daggubati is extremely happy with the strong audience response. Speaking at the post-release press meet, he said the reactions brought him “a lot of joy” and that he is proud to have made a “top-class film”.

Rana added that the performances especially Dulquer’s, are receiving tremendous appreciation calling it one of the finest performances of his career. He also mentioned that appearing on screen after a long break made the applause for his character even more satisfying.

Rana explained why he avoids routine commercial films, saying he always wanted to choose different and fresh stories that excite him.

Actress Bhagyashree Borse also expressed her happiness, saying Kaantha’s reception has given her great joy. She added that although both her films have a cinema backdrop, each one offers a unique story.

Her next release, “Andhra King Taluka“, will hit screens on November 28, 2025.
