Rana Daggubati Eyed for Role of Aurangzeb

Casting strange acting duos is a situation that audiences enjoy, and directors aim to fulfill this trend. After the successful release of OMG2 Sequel, Director Amit Rai is back in action with another movie which is going to be a period action movie of Shahid Kapoor. Kapoor will also portray the character of Chhatrapati Shivaji but it is not a biopic of the historic character.

But these are based on only a single significant event in the story of Shivaji. There were rumours about the casting and Rana Daggubati has been mentioned as the front runner to play Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Some of the sequences to be illustrated in the movie are the escape of Shivaji from the custody from Aurangzeb.

While there are no confirmations of his participation in the series, Rana’s joining will definitely inject energy to the show’s character, who is known for his pride and cruelty. Wakaoo Films and Dil Raju are coming up with this promising project, which is likely to go on floors by the end of this year.
