After receiving significant criticism across the nation, Adipurush’s creators changed the speech, according to Prem Sagar.
Prem Sagar, the creator of the renowned television series “Ramayan” from the late 1980s, has voiced his opinions on the contentious dialogue changes made to the film “Adipurush,” starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon.
The speech in question was spoken by Bajrang (Hanuman), who was played by Devdatta Nage in the scene with Lanka Dahan. It said, “Kapda tere baap ka, tel tere baap ka, aag bhi tere baap ki, aur jalegi bhi tere baap ki.”
The lines in the new prints, however, have been changed. The words have now been changed from “baap” to “Lanka”.
Prem Sagar told, “The very fact that somebody has realized that you cannot play with the sentiments of millions and millions of Ram Bhakts is a big thing because of mistakes…. Will call it misjudgement because it can be a misjudgement also as they might have thought it will be a commercial hit idea but it might have backfired.”
He added: “So realizing the mistake and then working on it is by itself a nice thing – to accept a mistake and move forward.”
“Ultimately, a film it is not like a book that anyone can read. If the masses don’t see then what is the gain in making a film?”
Adipurush, starring Prabhas, is currently in its second week, and sales are incredibly poor. It was very certain that the movie would have a “formality” run in week 2 after the free plummet during the first week, and that’s exactly what’s occurring now.
The movie, directed by Om Raut, has unluckily become one of the most recently mocked movies. This masterpiece is the subject of a lot of criticism, whether it be political or literary in nature. The number of shows is drastically reduced as a result across the nation.
Adipurush has only made a pitiful 3.30 crores* at the Indian box office (all languages) as of the second Friday, or day 8. This is extremely embarrassing for such a big movie, but it’s not shocking since it started crumbling like a house of cards starting on day 4.
