Devi Sri Prasad is making his acting debut with Yellamma, a rustic love story set in Telangana and directed by Balagam fame Venu Yeldandi. The film’s shoot began some time ago, and DSP recently joined the sets.

The makers had been searching for the heroine with names like Sai Pallavi and Keerthy Suresh reportedly being considered.

The latest update is that Ananthika Sanilkumar has been finalized as the female lead opposite DSP. She has impressed audiences with her previous films and is currently busy with multiple projects.

Her role in Yellamma is said to have good importance. Ananthika will soon join the shoot. DSP is composing the music, while Dil Raju is producing the film.

Yellamma is planned for a summer 2027 release.
