Rama Rejected SS Rajamouli’s marriage proposal… How They Got Married?

On Netflix’s “Modern Masters” show SS Rajamouli wife Rama shared an interesting story. She revealed that she initially rejected his marriage proposal because she thought it was meaningless.

The documentary on Rajamouli has been getting a lot of attention for sharing new and unheard stories about the filmmaker.

In the show Rama talked about their early days recalling that she first met Rajamouli at her sister’s wedding. She did not find him particularly appealing at the time especially since he was her brother in law’s brother.

When Rajamouli proposed, Rama was not ready and found the proposal to be casual and not romantic. She said she thought the idea was odd, as she was a divorcee with a son and felt Rajamouli must be crazy for proposing.

Despite her initial reluctance, Rama and Rajamouli eventually married in 2001. She credited Rajamouli’s persistence for changing her mind.

On his career front he recently gained worldwide acclaim with his film “RRR”, which won major awards, including at the Golden Globes and the Oscars.
