Rajinikanth’s latest film Coolie has done well at the box office, though audience reactions are mixed. After a strong opening weekend, collections dropped during weekdays.
Now, the producers Sun Pictures have gone to the Madras High Court asking to change the film’s Censor certificate from ‘A’ to ‘U/A’.
The surprising part is that this step came only after the release. Since the film’s theatrical run is almost ending, the new certificate may not change much.
A decision from the court is expected soon. Usually, Rajinikanth’s movies get a U or U/A certificate, but this time the Censor Board gave an A, possibly because of the heavy action.
Interestingly, his previous film Jailer got U/A even with similar violence. Coolie is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Sun Pictures.
