Usually, directors who reach great heights, like Rajamouli, avoid calling any one film their best. They often say their best is yet to come, to stay humble. But at the Junior pre-release event, Rajamouli openly said that Eega is his best film so far.
As some memorable photos from his career were shown on screen, Rajamouli shared a few stories. He spoke emotionally about Eega, saying without any hesitation that it’s his favorite.
He explained how making a film with a housefly as the hero and using advanced technology was a big experiment that surprisingly connected with audiences across India.
It also helped him gain recognition beyond the Telugu industry. He also talked about Sye, calling it another experiment.
After Simhadri, people thought he could only make mass action films. To break that image, he made Sye, a sports drama based on rugby, which was fresh for Telugu viewers and full of emotion.
