It was always the goal for director SS Rajamouli to make sure that his upcoming film, RRR, with NTR and Ram Charan in the leads, should have a solo release. Given that RRR is a huge film, being made on a pan-Indian scale, on a massive budget, the makers of the film have been carefully planning their release accordingly. After several delays due to the coronavirus pandemic, the film is finally ready to release on January 7th, 2022.
RRR was initially planned to be released this year but got postponed due to unknown reasons. In the meantime, several other films had announced their release dates, like Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak, Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam. While Mahesh backed out from releasing his film for Sankranthi, Prabhas and PK decided to stick to a Sankranthi release.
Rajamouli has been trying his best for some time now, to get to meet with and convince Pawan Kalyan to postpone the release of Bheemla Nayak. While Pawan reportedly showed no interest in meeting with Rajamouli or postponing the release of Bheemla Nayak, and the makers are said to have decided to go ahead with releasing their film on January 12th as per schedule.
